Wigs and Movie Stars

Did I mention I like wigs? Well, I do. They're a quick way to change your look and keep people wondering. Even my doorman doesn't always recognize me. Hehe! Today, I went shopping with my friend Kendall at Bloomingdales where we ran into three of our favorite Hollywood movie stars - George Clooney, Johnny Depp, and Matt Damon! On the following video clip you'll see I had a chance to interview George Clooney for my blog viewers! Unfortunately, George was a little camera shy and wasn't exactly very responsive...

Tonight, I would like to post the first fashion don't caught tonight on the streets of Manhattan. Lets just say NEVER wear Christian Louboutin heels while walking in the pouring rain.
Spotted... random lady.

Note: What I am holding is not a dead animal :)!
Well, another wonderful weekend in the Big Apple...

After seeing the new CoCo Chanel movie, we headed straight to the Chanel boutique on East 57th street for something even more exciting. We were taken to the back sales room to view and purchase the unreleased "CoCo Cocoon Bag" that will be on the store shelves starting on October 15th! It's beautiful and durable. Perfectly Chanel.

Next, we hopped into a cab and drove to Alexander McQueen's boutique in the Meatpacking! My brother was finally able to pick up his coat with the false arms, coffin lining, and perfect stitching. It is an amazing work of art! Since McQueen is one of Lady Gaga's favorite designers, my outfit for the day was GaGa inspired - ripped leggings, a black blazer, and 5 inch heels!

After school and volley ball practice today I was so hungry. So, my mom and I hopped into a cab and went over to the Upper East Side! Tonight we had dinner at Peter's Gourmet Restaurant and ordered basically every gluten free item on their menu... just to be certain it was worth coming back to. We started with chopped salad and garlic bread. Our main course consisted of pancakes, salmon, a cheeseburger, pasta, and a frittata! Let's just say I'll be back!

Now for the Journey with my friend Stella I promised to write about. This was my second time leaving the island of Manhattan. Yesterday, I took the subway underneath the East River and headed off to "Brooklyn Baby!" There, I went to my first flea market underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. In my past shopping experiences I have never had the opportunity to bargain. But at a flea market it is almost a sin if you don't. I think  I may need a little more practice though :)! This venue is definitely worth your time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!

Today it is officially one month until my birthday... 30 days and counting! Last year I spent my birthday on the beach in Malibu, California! Let's see what YorkGirl does this year?!

Stay tuned...

Yesterday was a great day for me. I really do love to shop, but nothing is more exciting then spending the day with my brother. Don't get me wrong though, we did also go shopping :).

So, my brother came home from Columbia University and we headed off to Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Rain or Shine (the only place to buy an umbrella), and Alexander McQueen. Four hours spent shopping and three great buys for the big brother - black leather biker gloves, a walking cane (for fashion, not function!), and a McQueen coat with false arms (will have to post a picture soon...).

After dinner, while walking home through the Meatpacking District we stumbled upon the instrumental group "Sax in the City" playing in the middle of a cobble stone street under the Highline Park! How magical!

The city never fails to impress me! York Girl is most certainly in love with the Big Apple!

Stay tuned tomorrow for details on today's journeys with my friend Stella.

A Night at Juicy

Don't ever be too tired for a walk, you never know the magical things that could happen...

I personally spent the evening walking Bleecker Street and out of the corner of my eye I saw it - those famous pink and brown colors we have all learned to love. Come on girls, you all should know what I am talking about... Juicy Couture!

I was sweetly greeted at the door by two fashion stylists, Francisco from Puerto Rico and Lindsey who although she had broken her foot had not broken her fashion spirit. They ran up and down taking me behind the scenes to the land of the unreleased Juicy couture items and a photo shoot set. Basically, heaven.

I love Juicy!

New, unreleased collection!

Francisco!

All at once...

As the Fall Fashion Week comes to an end in Bryant Park, I thought this was the perfect time to start my personal Fashion Chronicles. Certainly, big Christian Louboutin heels to be filled... but, luckily I have been walking in high heels since I was eight years old. : )

So, I'd like to introduce myself.
I am Becca, otherwise known as YorkGirl.
Stay tuned...
